Seven Tips for Triumphantly Thriving Through Change
Change is the only constant in the Universe - become friends
with it...

It is said that Change is the ONLY
constant in the Universe.
Change is a natural part of life.
How we mentally and emotionally handle the changes that we
encounter determines our level of satisfaction, peace and fulfillment. We can either spend our time fighting
change or we can learn to embrace it, roll with it and thrive.
Here are seven tips that can empower you to move forward through
change and feel triumphant along the way.
-
All Change is impersonal but
it feels personal. When we take it ‘personally’ we prevent
ourselves from seeing the bigger picture. Recognizing that change comes to everyone, we begin to
change our situation by just acknowledging that CHANGE IS.
-
Not all Change is bad.
When we are in the middle of change that we didn’t plan for, we may
feel it is bad or negative. But even in the ‘negative’ changes we experience, there is a nugget of
good to be found.
-
Recognize that how we feel is a
CHOICE. We can choose to be upset, angry, frustrated
about what is happening in our lives or we can begin to embrace it. Just knowing that we have
a choice can bring an immediate sense of relief and openness about the opportunity instead of
feeling negative about the change.
-
Choose Peace over anything
else. While choosing acceptance is our goal, choosing
to be at peace about the change can provide a profound sense of relief. Instead of trying to figure
it out or ‘dealing’ with it, we can then allow our intuition to aid us toward
acceptance.
-
Become
Self-aware. Ask yourself how does this change REALLY
impact you. Is it worth your peace of mind? Then, ask your heart how it feels about the change.
Often our heads are arguing for something that are hearts are already calm
about.
-
Decide if you are going to row, flow
or grow with the change. When we are stuck in ‘solving’
mode, we tend to row against the stream the change is trying to bring us. We can immediately stop
that stuck feeling by flowing with the change. If we embrace the change, we begin to grow through
it and feel empowered. (Check out the Rowing, Flowing, Growing game to find out.)
-
Take INSPIRED
action. When we spend so much time thinking about a
change and not listening to our heart, we do not hear the action we can take. The answers to any
change/challenge are inside of us waiting to be acted upon. We can only hear them when we still the
chatter long enough and pay attention. Inspired action will be the next step that feels joyful,
peaceful and satisfying.
And, to truly TRIUMPHANTLY THRIVE change – take this last
tip…
ACKNOWLEDGE yourself – find pleasure in the journey you’ve taken
thus far…
It really is all about the journey and not the
destination.
Know that you are loved,
